Learn to Prune Workshop with a Certified Arborist

Learn simple pruning tips and techniques from a professional. There are several rules to follow to make your pruning efforts easy and manageable, along with being good for your shrub or tree. Tom Quigley, President of Olympic Nursery and a Certified Arborist, is presenting a free “Learn to Prune” workshop, Saturday, June 20, at both 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Quigley has over 25 years of experience and is certified through the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) the professional industry organization that recognizes skilled tree care professionals. Quigley will walk with you around a small tree farm and nursery, located in the Sammamish Valley near Woodinville. “Pruning doesn’t have to be confusing,” Quigley says, “I’ll talk with you about proper tree care, the benefits of trees to the environment, and what pruning tasks you could take on yourself or the ones you should give to the care of a trained arborist.” The Olympic Nursery tree farm is located behind Classic Nursery at 16215 140th Place NE in Woodinville.
